Rock the Registry is committed to spreading awareness of how easy it can be to save someone's life. Every year, more than 12,000 patients in the U.S. are diagnosed with life-threatening diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplasia, multiple myeloma, myelofibrosis, aplastic aneua, sick cell anemia, and immune-deficiency disorders.
By registering for the National Marrow Donor Program (or Be the Match), you are signing up to be someone's potential, life-saving donor in the future. Unfortunately, for each person who registers, the odds of ever being a match for someone in need is approximately 1 in 540, but the hope brought by each new registry member is invaluable.
Registering for the National Marrow Donor Program only takes a few minutes, four cotton swabs, and is free for those ages 18-44 years old thanks to fundraising efforts. You can register online to receive a kit in the mail, just use promo code: rocktheregistry.
